I am an artist with a deep interest in the history of my local area, especially its historical art and visual culture. My inspiration comes from the landscape itself, as well as from local archaeology, folklore, and historical accounts. I am fascinated by how ancient people lived their lives here and artifacts recovered from the ground, stories passed down through generations, and places where history and legend overlap. These sources shape the way I see my surroundings and influence the themes and atmosphere of my work. My own art is shaped by these influences and I am hoping to rediscover how the ancient Irish lived their lives. I see it as a way of connecting with the past while also creating something of my own in the present. Alongside my artistic practice, I spend time researching and documenting local history, with a focus on sharing and preserving it as authentically as possible.
