I cycle through several special interests over a period of time (my guess is thanks to my ADHD) but my autism always pulls me back intensely into them. I love knowledge of all kinds with a particular fondness for linguistics, culture (specifically ancient cultures) and sociology. I also particularly adore the internet culture I grew up in and have today even if it’s not as spiralling and sprawling as it once was.

One thing I do want to make clear is despite my SIs (Special Interests) common overlap with pretty uncomfortable alt right and right wing spaces is that I in no way approve of or endorse a lot of the vile stances or view points that come from those spaces. My love of these topics is how they intersect with human expression and self discovery and just the study of why we are the way we are as human animals. I always want people to be who they are and would never endorse White Supremacy.
I also love alt fashion and have slowly been stepping into that space for the last few months. Mostly inspired by my Sibling in-law’s taste haha. So I might be posting more about that too and some general Y2K aesthetic stuff that I grew up with.
To start with I will (or do my best to) go over how each of these SIs developed over the course of my childhood, into my teenage years and to where I am today in my early to going on to my mid 20s. It wouldn’t be a year by year breakdown exactly but it will closely follow that chain of events as it’s the best way to organise these things in my own mind since each one of my SIs often chain together and therefore I need to build from one thing to the another to structure my web of weirdness
Also forgive my weird sentence structure and ramblings and if there’s a typo here or there, I’m mildly dyslexic so I’m fighting an uphill battle with all this
